our code of ethics
Our code of ethics is our public commitment to responsible business pratices.
It is the foundation of our corporate responsibility program explaining how we
do business with integrity, and defining the individual conduct all managers and
employees should expect of each other. Our code of ethics is in line with the
fundamental principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Conventions
of the International Labour Organization and the OECD.
Our ethics committee, appointed by the Chairman, ensures our code of ethics is
applied across the France Telecom group. A network of ethics correspondents in
our national Group businesses help employees to interpret the ethics code against
the specific challenges they face in their different legal and cultural environments.
We’ve made sure our employees have further opportunities to think about ethics
in an e-learning self-assessment. It asks employees to apply the content of the
code to real-life dilemmas.
