get into the swing with the Orange Foundation's 19th “Nuit de la Voix” musical evening broadcast from 8:30 pm on Wednesday September 15

Paris, September 06, 2010
For this year's event, the “Nuit de la Voix” will be welcoming 150 performers from all backgrounds at the Opéra Comique venue: France, with Brittany, Rhône-Alpes and the Paris Region, as well as Poland, Switzerland and Argentina.
The concert will be broadcast live on Radio Classique and on the Orange Liveradio, with a pre-recorded show on Mezzo.

Voice will be in the spotlight, with an eclectic program of opera, baroque music, contemporary creation, tango and songs. More than 150 performers will be bringing the Opéra Comique to life for a truly unforgettable evening.
On September 15, six groups from different cultural and musical backgrounds will be taking the stage at the Opéra Comique in Paris for a new Nuit de la Voix musical evening packed with even more emotion:

Saint-Christophe de Javel, a Parisian choir, conducted by Henri Chalet, which will be performing extracts from Maurice Duruflé's Requiem.
Nouveaux Caractères, a Lyon-based group, led by Sébastien d’Hérin, with pieces by Cherubini, Handel and Rameau, accompanied by Karine Deshayes, Jean-Sébastien Bou and Caroline Mutel,
Camerata Silesia, a Polish choir, conducted by Anna Szostak, performing for the first time ever in France the creations of Zygmunt Krauze and Régis Campo in connection with 2010 the Year of Chopin,
Ensemble Mélisme(s), from Rennes, directed by Gildas Pungier, with pieces by Brahms, Schumann and Ladmirault,
Cappella Mediterranea, in residence in Switzerland, led by Leonardo García Alarcón, the young Argentinean choirmaster, performing a musical show built around Monteverdi and Piazzolla,
Comédie-Française, singing musical interludes with the actors Florence Viala, Julie Sicard and Christian Hecq.

The 2010 Nuit de la Voix is also celebrating the Year of Chopin with two creations commissioned by the Orange Foundations in France and Poland, with support from the Polish Institute in Paris and the Polish embassy in France.

Each year, the Orange Foundation organizes this private musical evening, with the "Nuit de la Voix" offering an opportunity for some of the artists and groups it supports to perform on a Parisian stage. This evening represents an artistic springboard for the talented young performers involved, in front of an audience of professionals from the music industry and the world of culture.
Following previous events, young and still unknown groups have been able to sign contracts with record companies, festival directors or concert halls; indeed, this was the case for Concert d’Astrée, Accentus, Matheus, Arpeggiata, followed more recently by Cercle de l’Harmonie and Pygmalion among others.

The event will be broadcast on demand on the Orange networks and live on the radio with Mezzo and Radio Classique.
