WiFi-n standard: more efficient and simple WIFI
The WiFi-n standard delivers a theoretical speed of 130 Mbits per second, offering enhanced signal range and 50% quicker connections than with a conventional WiFi connection. This standard also enables better coverage, making it easier to use multimedia freely around the home.

The wireless connection is easier to set up with the new Livebox thanks to the “easy WiFi” function; you no longer need to enter your 15-digit security key to connect your computer up to the Livebox, and installation is even easier.

Livebox, the home’s digital heart
By connecting a storage device (hard drive, USB key) or Home Library (Orange network drive) to the Livebox, the entire family can share all of their multimedia content (photos, videos and music) between all the computers connected up to the Livebox (“Media Server” function).
You can also share your printer between all the computers in your home, so there is no longer any need to move the printer and plug it in next to the computer.
Lastly, thanks to the UpnP standard (Universal Plug & Play) DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) 1.5, it will be possible to access your digital content from your television if a PS3 or XBox 360 game console is connected up.

Other innovative features are offered, subject to taking out a service or buying dedicated products:

Call in high definition with superior audio quality thanks to the Livephone.

New design
The new Livebox is all about sleekness, with a white rectangular monolithic design. Thanks to its WiFi button, you can now turn the WiFi signal on and off at your convenience, while continuing to enjoy other Livebox services outside of the WiFi connection.
Thanks to this WiFi button and the ON/OFF switch allowing to switch off the new Livebox at night or during holidays, you can reduce your electricity consumption by up to 30% compared to the previous model(3).
The new Livebox packagingis recyclable (98% recycled paper in the packaging).

The price for leasing the new Livebox remains the same: 3 euros including VAT per month.
Since October 1, a limited edition “pack livebox livephone” is being offered at a price of 3 euros(4) for customers signing up for an Orange broadband service with a commitment(5).

The Livebox is available in Orange stores, on www.orange.fr, on 1014, in the partner network and from retailers.
