L’Académie du Disque Lyrique is presenting awards for three ensembles supported by the Orange Foundation

L’Académie du Disque Lyrique awarded three“Orphées d’Or” for the following recordings of choirs supported by the Orange Foundation:
-    The Pygmalion ensemble, directed by Raphaël Pichon, for his first CD “Missae Breves, BWV 234 & 235” by Johann Sebastian Bach (Alpha label);
-    La Chapelle Rhénane, directed by Benoît Haller, for his recording of “Membra Jesu Nostri” by Dietrich Buxtehude (K617 label);
-    La Capella Mediterranea, directed by Leonardo Garcia Alarcon, for his unreleased recording project on “Motets & Madrigaux” by Peter Philips (Ambronay label).

As a music patron, the Orange Foundation has been providing long term support for these three vocal ensembles. It helps with their development and encourages them at every stage of their musical work: research, creation, distribution and recording.

A fourth award was attributed to French Melodies “Songs” by Guy Sacre with Billy Eïdi, Florence Katz and Jean-François Gardeil. The Orange Foundation supported the Timpani label for the ire-release of this major record collection.

The Foundation is proud to be contributing to the success of these ensembles and is eager to congratulate them warmly for these Orphées awards, that reward exemplary research work and musical interpretation.

The Foundation has been supporting vocal music since 1987. It contributes to the discovery of new voices, the training of young singers and the creation of vocal ensembles.
Over the past 20 years, the Foundation has supported the development of over 100 choirs, vocal ensembles and choir schools, especially for medieval, baroque, contemporary and international music.
The Orange Foundation accompanies every stage of musical endeavour, including research, training, production, recording and broadcasting.
 It also partners with festivals and opera houses that help new artists to emerge and that undertake educational actions to spark interest of new audiences for classical music.
