Nuit de la Voix
Every year since 1990, the Orange Foundation organises a private musical evening
called Nuit de la Voix (A night of vocal music), giving various artists and ensembles
supported by the Foundation the chance to perform on stage in Paris. As its name
suggests, the program is entirely vocal, and ranges from baroque opera to contemporary
works for a capella choir and traditional songs.
The 17th edition of Nuit de la Voix will be held on Thursday 5 June at the Gaveau
concert hall, and features four ensembles: Arpeggiata, directed by Christina Pluhar
with Philippe Jaroussky and Nuria Rial; the children's choir, Sotto Voce, directed
by Scott Alan Prouty; the Pygmalion choir and orchestra, conducted by Raphaël
Pichon; and the ensemble Sequenza 9.3, directed by Catherine Simonpietri.
The event has been organised with the support of Philippe Maillard Productions.
Live on Radio Classique
Like last year, Nuit de la Voix will be broadcast live on Radio Classique.
In between the performances, the four choir directors will be interviewed live
by Laure Mezan.
The night will continue with a broadcast of recordings chosen from among the
650 CDs the Foundation has supported since its creation.
Radio Classique will also give listeners the chance to come and listen to this
private musical event with free seats to be won...
