operational mode of the advisory board

The scientific advisory board meets twice a year in plenary sessions which are each dedicated to two research themes. Each theme is beforehand explored in depth during a one day work session, during which the teams present their works to two or three members of the advisory board. The scientific advisory board formalizes after the plenary session its evaluation and recommendations on each of the research themes that have been reviewed.
Every year the advisory board presents a synthesis of its work and observations to the Chairman of the Group.


The Chairman and the executive Directors can also request the opinion of the advisory board on particular subjects relative to the scientific and technical issues. These opinions are set out in separate reports.
