In just two years, the
Orange Warsaw Festival has become an essential component of the Warsaw musical scene. Addressing an extremely broad audience since it’s first edition, the Orange Warsaw Festival has proved that Warsaw can host a musical event of the highest order. The second event took place over two days at a number of sites and attracted over 50 000 festival goers who enjoyed numerous concerts.
Orange supports music and fans of music; for this reason, the Group has decided to continue to expand the Polish festival by joining forces with the TVN television channel for the third edition. This association means that the festival will become a truly international event, both in terms of the line-up as well as its organisation.
The Orange Warsaw Festival is also one of the main cultural events that will help the Polish capital campaign win the title of European Capital of Culture for 2016.
The first day of the festival will be devoted to alternative pop. The main acts include the American group
Hole with the singer, Courtney Love, and the English trio
White Lies, as well as Polish artists such as the
Waglewski brothers and
Kumka Olik.
The second day, aimed at a wider audience, will include stars such as Mika and Nelly Furtado.
Finally, this year the Orange festival is organising an international music competition. The winner will be announced during the festival and will receive a prize awarded by TVN and Radio Zet.
