Swiss Music Awards: ready for the final show?
Make no mistake: the Swiss music scene is alive and well!
An increasing number of chart hits in Switzerland are the work of Swiss musicians. Which is why the Swiss Music Awards were inaugurated in 2008 to pay tribute to this welcome development. And now, following last year's huge success, it's time once again to honor stars from home and abroad with a spectacular gala. The show takes place the 19 of February in the glamorous Klubsaal of Switzerland's most famous club — the Kaufleuten in downtown Zurich. The official Aftershow Party will be held in the Festsaal.
The second Swiss Music Awards are to be televised by our broadcast partner ProSieben (Switzerland). Then, just one day after the show takes place, TV viewers will be able to relive the prestigious event from 20.15h onwards — the highlights of the awards ceremony and the buzz of the red carpet.
First-rate entertainment guaranteed. The following stars of stage and screen have already said they will be attending the 2009 Swiss Music Awards:
Seven, Silbermond, Lovebugs, Ritschi…
But not only the nominees are known faces from the world of entertainment. The celebrities presenting the artists with the 2009 Swiss Music Awards are also big names on the national and international show scene.
Hosting this year's event in their usual stylish and charming fashion will be actress Melanie Winiger and TV presenter Marco Fritsche, who are sure to treat us to an interesting and entertaining evening. The singer Jubaira Bachmann will compère the TV show with interviews from behind the scenes and updates from the red carpet.
