Spotlight on Orange Labs R&D at the 4th European research and innovation show in Paris, from June 5 to 7, 2008

For the fourth year in a row, Orange Labs R&D will be taking part in the European research and innovation show from June 5 to 7 at Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles. An opportunity for the R&D unit to showcase its capacity for innovation with a wide audience, thanks to a stand focusing on image and very high speed solutions.

Over three days, the European research and innovation show will bring together the leading French and European players from the scientific, entrepreneurial and institutional world, with innovative SMEs, start-ups, financing organizations, public research bodies, universities and schools, technology parks and regional authorities, competitiveness clusters, institutional players…More than 25,000 visitors are expected for this 4th event, where the best of innovation will be presented to professionals, researchers, investors, as well as the general public, young and old, science enthusiasts, students, etc.


Orange Labs stand focused on image and very high speed
This 80 square meter stand, at the heart of ParisExpo Hall 5, will be focusing on very high speed applications, content and image. In this way, the exhibition area will represent an opportunity for our laboratories to present some of their innovative services and R&D projects to the general public and scientific community, such as 3D videoconferencing, high definition Wifi cameras, mobile TV, 3D Office from the Business Gallery, as well as some applications from our labs in China and the US, not to mention a number of unmissable events, with the Roland Garros tennis tournament broadcast in HDTV and 3D TV.

Orange roundtable
On Thursday June 5, the opening day, the Group will be leading a roundtable on innovation in telecoms - "innovation in the telecoms sector: key issues and outlook".
