Orange partner of Roland-Garros 2009

From May 24 to June 7, 2009, Orange will be inviting its guests to discover two major innovations in connection with the French Open: 3D and 24/24 actu, the first 100% TV, press and radio news engine

In partnership with France Télévisions, Orange will be repeating its 3D TV experiment from May 31 to June 7, setting up a live 3D channel for all the matches played on the center court (Philippe Chatrier) all the way through to the final. This channel will be able to be watched on 3D screens at the Roland Garros site, as well as in the eight Orange stores in France (Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Marseilles, Nantes, Paris Champs Elysées, Paris Madeleine, Toulouse).

Orange will be inviting its guests to discover 24/24 actu, the new exclusive internet service that will in the next few months make it possible for all web users to access the first 100% TV, press and radio news engine.

Roland-Garros on iPhone
For the 2009 French Open, Orange is offering the Roland-Garros application for iPhone. This free application can be downloaded from the App Store with your iPhone or via iTunes from your PC or Mac. It makes it possible to exclusively watch the live match multiplex (up to five courts), keep track of the scores in real time, and watch or come back to the summaries of the matches and each day’s events in video.

Tennis Everywhere
For the sixth year running, Orange is deploying its Tennis Everywhere service, allowing its customers to follow the matches on its three platforms (TV, PC and mobile).
On Orange sport info, the interactive sports news channel, Orange will be covering the tournament each day with live newsflashes and four daily shows. Orange sport info is available on Orange TV, orange.fr and Orange mobiles. In addition, the channel is being broadcast on the BIS TV satellite package.
Alongside the Orange sport info channel, with France Télévisions, Orange is offering its customers a unique solution on its three platforms in order to live the French Open experience.
On Orange TV*, there are nine events channels focusing on the French Open. In addition, customers who are eligible for High Definition TV on ADSL or fiber optic will be able to follow certain matches in High Definition quality.
On Orange mobiles, Orange mobile customers will be able to follow all of the 2009 French Open on the Orange World portal.
Lastly, on orange.fr, web users will be able to enjoy free access to the whole French Open world in just one quick.

* The French Open service on Orange TV is available exclusively for Orange ADSL TV customers
