August 13, 2009 - Today, Konto Orange, Orange Slovensko´s corporate non-investment fund is becoming Nadácia Orange.
For 11 years, Konto Orange has established itself as one of the most recognized and trusted corporate non-investment funds in Slovakia: it granted more than €5 million to support philanthropic and charity activities.
Joining the Orange Group‘s international network of foundations will allow the Nadácia to benefit from over 20 years experience and know-how. Orange foundations all contribute to corporate philanthropy projects helping people to communicate better.
Nadácia Orange will draw upon the 11 years-long experience of Konto Orange and will continue fullfiling the same objective which is to grant grant financial resources to meaningful philanthropic and charity projects in a transparent and responsible way and thus give a helping hand in the areas of the society where the help is most needed. In addition, the foundation will continue focusing on the same areas of support: education, social integration of groups in need and regional development.
On the occasion of this launch, the Orange Foundation will selected projects proposed by the Nadácia : the Andreas Autism Center non profit organization‘s project becomes the first one to be supported by the two foundations. This project embodies the two pillars of Nadácia Orange: social integration and education.
Nádacia Orange also annouces its annual award for non-profit organizations that help people who are isolated (because of autism, sensory impairment or their social or geographical situation) to access culture, information, education or entertainment. The Nadácia Orange award will reward innovative and “out-of-the-box” approaches and outstanding achievements in this respect.
