He joined France Telecom in 1977 as telecommunications and postal controller. In 1986, Daniel Guillot became central administrative agent at the Ministry of Telecommunications, Postal Services and Space, before becoming Chief Inspector in 1993. He was responsible for management and international affairs at the CFDT Culture, Consulting and Communication Federation since the foundation of this trade union federation in 2005 and, since 2007, he is central trade union delegate in charge for the Orange FT group. Until 2009, Daniel Guillot had a seat at the UNI Télécom (international trade union) global committee and chaired the European Telecommunications Social Dialog Committee jointly with the employers representative.
