socially responsible investment

Investors are becoming more and more are sensitive to the social and environmental responsibility of the company in which they wish to invest.

The group integrates numerous social and environmental points into its strategy. This section is about socially responsible investment. The main elements of the group's policy and actions on the subject are detailed in the  "responsibility" part.

Social responsible investments can be divided in three main aspects:

- Selection: including or excluding companies’ shares from your investment portfolio depending on whether or not they comply with various social, environmental or ethical criteria.
- Shareholder activism: using the voting rights linked to shares and putting resolutions forward in order to influence the actions of businesses, making them more "responsible" in their eyes.
- Responsible direction: with an investment program or financial institution investing in unlisted companies or initiatives that are involved in activities judged to be particularly "responsible", such as renewable energies, organic farming or local development
